The Beach Harvester.

Over the many years I have been going down to our local beach, I have often seen a chap with a chain saw down at the high water mark cutting up large lumps of timber and even trees. He then loads them onto the back of this quite large quad bike and drives away. Yesterday, I spoke to him for the first time and he told me that he is 88 years old, has two new knees  and comes here twice a day, every day to gather logs for him and his daughter. He told me that until recently, he had four tons of logs in his garage, but his daughter had sent a pick up truck to collect a couple of loads, leaving him with a two tons to start the winter with. Pretty good for a chap of that age!
