I thought with such a clear sky it would be worth looking later on for the Perseids, but I couldn't see any. 

I thought it might startle Guy next door that I was lying on my back on the childrens' slide at 11pm looking up into the sky, but he just thought I was having a nervous breakdown so that was OK.
