Shirley Baker

I popped in to the Photographers' Gallery this evening because I wanted to see the Shirley Baker exhibition of gritty urban desolation in Salford and Manchester in the 1960's. Wow, what a fantastic show. She took some great pictures, especially of children playing in the rubble. Only a fiver and well worth getting to if you can.

And then it was the culture shock of going straight in to a landscapes preview with a glass of Pimms.
