Hydrangeas
There is a huge branch on a very large Manitoba Maple that is growing over and perpendicular to the pond and the surrounding garden beds, landscaping and fencing. It has been slowly decaying and unfortunately the weight of the new growth is too much for the weakened limb to bear. It has started to split near the tree trunk. If it goes before it can be removed, it will take out these lovely hydrangeas as well as the pond waterfall, fence and everything else in its path. There's not much to be done now except hope that it will last until Monday morning when the tree removal people can come. Thought I had better take a photo of the hydrangeas in case they don't make it until Monday.
