Election fever
One of our local councillors was elected as an MP at the last General Election (gosh doesn't that already seem like a long time ago?) Anyway, there was a Council by-election on Thursday to elect a new councillor to replace him.
According to the news this morning (Friday) the turnout was a shocking 26.1% and the winning candidate got 2576 of the 3726 valid votes cast (69.14% of the vote). Democracy, eh? Better than the alternatives I suppose.
But on the good news front, I'm now back up-to-date with my Blips. Taking pictures isn't the problem, it's finding the time to put them online.
