After the party's over

The Olympic torch passed through here two days ago. All that excitement, all those crowds, all that sunshine!

And now, the torch has passed on south, taking the excitement, the crowds and even the sunshine. This flag is left, trodden into a wet pavement, the only reminder of the transient glory.
