Painshill Park

A walk today at the glorious 18 century landscape garden. It was designed in the 1700s by Charles Hamilton. He wanted to create a romantic landscape to 'stimulate the senses and emotions of the visitor'. There are a number of beautiful ruins, lakes, bridges and wonderful views from every hill top. I love this view of the five arches (with amazing reflection) and the Gothic Temple on the hillside on the other side of the lake.  We certainly will visit again and again, just thinking about the autumn colour.....ohhh more blips.
