Last Day
It's always sad on the last day and today proved no exception. All up early and packed relatively quickly (the joy of only two 'checked' suitcases), before Manolo picked us up shortly before 11:00 and took us out to their house.
The final day passes in a sort of limbo, not enough time to do anything meaningful, no desire to get sandy/sweaty before travelling and the desire to spend what time you have with those you love. It suits me I got to spend four uninterrupted hours with Sarah before we left.
Lunch at La Pave before we left for the airport, just a ten minute drive, Sarah dropped us outside and the tears flowed, Samantha, Joshua, Sarah and I, the holiday seems to have flown by and it is always upsetting saying "cheerio" to those you love.
The flight was delayed by twenty minutes but we landed only five minutes late, collected Big Red from the long stay car park, (despite the machine stating we had £242 to pay), and got away.
The M4/M5 junction was closed and as I write this we are travelling down the M5/A30 in torrential rain.
Welcome back to Britain!!
