Monet's lily pads?
Gales and blustery showers and we live right on top of a hill! The only way we can escape the continual noise is to take Tess for a walk in the woods on the other side of the valley which face north and are sheltered.
There is an old disused game-keepers hut with a pond nearby and the present owners have planted water- loving plants in and around the water which attract all number of different insects - when it is warm and the sun is shining!
Just out of interest, in 1900, Monet exhibited 10 paintings of his lily pond in differing light. I think I prefer his paintings to the above! There is also a replica of Monet's Garden at Giverny near Weymouth, Dorset.
