Le Puy de Dome

Today we ascended the Puy de Dome (by train). The Puy de Dome is a dormant volcano with a fascinating history. It is 1465m high and sits in the Massif Central.
When we set off the top was shrouded in mist and proospects of any panoramic views were poor. After a while, however, the clouds lifted and revealed some amazing views.
