Time Marches On !!!

Tollbooth Steeple, Glasgow

Sorry, not particularly good........taken on mobile while enjoying a coffee in nearby cafe.
The steeple is all that is left of a 7- storey building, constructed in 1625-27, which housed the City Chambers and City Jail.
Thought it typifies Glasgow - a great chunk of history, with a modern building for a neighbour !

A wee bit of a family connection here too............remember my Dad telling me he was once employed to clean the workings of this clock (and not a lift in sight) !!!!!!
