North Cornwall coast towards Tintagel

Helena was very intrepid today. She decided to walk from Polzeath to Rock, where she caught the little ferry across to Padstow, had a short breeze around the little port town before following the disused railway track along the Camel estuary to Wadebridge.  I took the easier option of going to the beach, as the sun had returned and it was lovely day despite the cool breeze.

When Helena returned, we went to look for the bottle opener which we lost yesterday during our bat expedition up at Pengirt Cove.  By the time we got there the weather was changing and clouds were rolling in from the over the sea from the west. Helena had thought she would go down to the sea to bathe, whilst I stayed with my camera on the cliff tops again.

We ambled about the fields and stood admiring the wonderful views along the coast and I couldn’t resist snapping Helena against this coastal backdrop.  I have added a picture of her to my ‘Extra photos’.

But Helena thought that this picture of the view north across the headlands at the mouths of where the small havens of Port Quinn, Port Isaac and Port Gaverne are, looking towards Tintagel to the left of the picture.  Our plans soon changed when minutes later the sun disappeared for good and we both felt like returning to the caravan for well earned tea. We now have to start to clear up and pack, as we are returning home tomorrow.  But we will be travelling via south Devon to make a detour to meet another blipper, Madchickenwoman, for the first time, which we are looking forward to.
