Fest In Peace..

Pirates, pickpockets, cross dressers and kings;
when the Festival's on, you'll see all sorts of things.
Great actors, bad singers, and Thai ladyboys,
colour and drama and far too much noise.

Recitals, reviews, plays that charge lots of money,
(starring once-famous comics who are no longer funny),
Stalls selling sushi, fruit curries and fries,
beers at a fiver, no matter what size....

The hustle and bustle, the crowds and the hassle,
the tents in The Meadows, Tattoo at the castle.
I love all the people, the joy and the fun........
But thank god for the peace that ensues when it's done!
