Through the Green Window

My day at Longshaw began with a walk and a bit of birdwatching. I saw a flock of Mistle Thrushes, and several Green Woodpeckers, as well as a Brown Hare, skipping through the meadow. This juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker was performing acrobatics in this pine tree. 
It was a fine day and there were lots of visitors, keeping us busy at the Welcome Point.
