Pier to Pier

Every year the pier to pier swimming race takes place from Sandown pier to Shanklin pier which sadly in no longer there, its a distance of just over 3 miles;
 so i thought i would go down to get some photos but some how became one of the safety kayaks, as there was about a 100 swimmers they needed one kayak/boat to five swimmers, after a quick count there was 24 of us plus the two inshore rescue boats
