Lunch break

Set off from Ripon in glorious weather, stopped for lunch overlooking York Minster. My son and I reached Bridlington and the end of the Way of the Roses coast to coast ride at 5.30pm. 76 miles yesterday and 96 today. The extra 2 miles (the official WOTR distance is 170 miles) were due to a couple of wrong turnings! If you are considering doing this ride put in plenty of training. For the average cyclist in the street the first 70 miles are very tough going!
