Read on...

Often the afternoon read can be the highlight of the day. A momentary quiet time to relax and or escape. This is usually followed by a nap of sorts, though some prefer to bookend the read with a bit of slumber on both ends.

The subject matter is another story. Each to their own when it comes to choosing the pearls to be read. Being a faithful man my first choice would always be His Word.

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4 ESV)
