The day after
Woke up this morning to the smell of a fire. Turned on the local news and after the storm dozens of fires caused by lightning.
Most were small enough the a homeowner or farmer quickly extinguished them however twelve were considered major.
Of those only one they we calling in air support for. A very fast moving forest fire fueled by 40 mile per hour winds.
The local health department was warning of a high stage 3 air quality alert. Those with breathing issues to stay indoors and everyone else to limit outdoor activities.
This is a simple photo of pond with two hillsides normally fully clear but lightly covered in smoke.
I want to thank everyone for the hearts, stars and wonderful comments yesterday. I m truly humbled on being on page two of the popular paper. Me, with a simple camera, at the right place and time
Thank you
