Manhattan Beach Open

When in Southern California, as we are for the next two weeks, one either plays volleyball, which I did Wednesday evening, or watches volleyball, which we did today at Manhattan Beach. It was the first day of main draw play and we spent the entire day at the beach. It was awesome to watch many of the pros from South of the Border Volleyball Vacations trips play all out volleyball for a change. Lots of images from which to choose, but I ended up selecting this one of Emily Stockman chasing down an errant dig from her partner Ali McColloch because you rarely get the action coming directly at you like this (and even more rare is to have it in focus).
