Juicy oasis here I come!
I had a leisurely start and L arrived to collect Lottie looking super tanned after his trip to Mexico. Turns out he bought some kind of timeshare in the hotel chain. Not sure that was such a good move though if there's any chance of me benefitting from it I might be less sceptical!
My cab arrived on time and I took the train to Gatwick, changing at clapham junction. The journey cost me £36 return. Great decision. Not only were there no hitches and it was an easy ride but I also saved at least£200 in petrol, parking or taxis. Result!
I arrived a good hour before check in so chilled contemplating three weeks of getting away from it all....
My bag weighed 19.9kg and the weight limit before having to pay £10 per extra kilo was 20kg...Another result!
I had a last supper at To Sushi. From here on it's juices all the way...
The flogh was fine. Two hours. A bit bumpy and I just about managed to squeeze my backside into the seat without disturbing my neighbour...Hopefully on the way back it'll be a bit more roomy!
I met three other Juicy guests at the airport and we were driven in a very smart minibus an hour and a quarter into Portugal and up into the hills. It was dark when we arrived and we were the last in at 10.45pm. The place is stunning and I think seeing it first at night was quite special. There are 38 guests. A nice number I reckon it we'll see.
My 'ecopod' is small but perfectly formed. I unpacked and then got to sleep around midnight.
This is the start of a new three week journey into relaxation, health and fitness for me. Bring it on!!!
