The supporters were put to the test recently when an unforeseen massive gas bill nearly brought about the demise of the club. But rising to the challenge and using the little understood modern communication machine "facebook" they let it be known that the club was in trouble. Only a few hours later a steady stream of locals old and young were making their way to the treasurer's door with contributions!

The club lives on.
