Parked
Mme Tepeka was off on a long run this morning and the boy child needed a lift to rowing, so I seized the opportunity to abandon my own planned run/shuffle/hobble and went for a walk by the towpath instead.
Getting the dogs into the car is a bit of a challenge. It's fine for the younger mutt, but the old lady struggles to get in. Her attempt this morning basically saw her with her head and front paws in the footwell, with her back legs and tail firmly resting on the ground outside. Normally we worry about getting her tail trapped when we shut the door; today it would have been her entire rear half.
Anyway, after some puffing and heaving, we got her in to the car and down to the river. The dogs aren't very familiar with this stretch of the river, and it's beside a fairly busy road, so they have to stay on their leads. To say they're a little annoying on their leads would be the understatement of all time. They're incapable of walking in the same direction, so you're constantly dragged from side to side. And trying to take pictures while all this is going on is near impossible. Which is why today's offering is some shopping trolleys in a deserted supermarket car park.
Walking back up towards the car, I spotted the boy child and his friend out in a double scull. For some reason his friend had scooted around in his seat and the pair of them were facing each other. Not the most efficient way to progress, I wouldn't have thought.
As for the rest of the day, lunch, Arsenal on the telly, perhaps a late run/shamble/lumber, and then more Game of Thrones. An entirely agreeable Sunday...
