The orioles are back

I was delighted to see several Baltimore orioles, both males and females, at my feeders yesterday. However, it makes me just a little sad because I know their return is due to the fall migration. They are heading south, and that is a sure sign of autumn, soon (way too soon) to be followed by winter. Sigh! I'm not ready for the colorful birds and flowers to leave us this soon. No, I'm not ready at all! I hope they hang around for a few more days at least.
