Back home, and my favourite drumming gig of the year - Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Gala. We play for 2 hours on the back of a truck, and the procession of floats visits every street. Despite pouring rain, people lined the streets today and waved and smiled at us. There is a good community spirit in these old mining communities.

This photo was taken when we stopped for a 'pop break. The man dressed as a clown brought fizzy drinks for people on the floats.

After drumming, we were treated to lunch in the community centre - pies, sandwiches and cakes.

I Hope we brought a bit of Samba sunshine to East Ayrshire.
