Spitfires

Only seen one fly before this day a couple of years back.  These guys were doing a tour of Yorkshire I think, and we heard that they were flying over Whitby at about 16:30.

So we went up to near the abbey and I scouted out a few locations to shoot from and got one that covered the sea, town and the abbey as we weren't 100% sure precisely where they were coming from.  I was hoping for them to come in over the town and fly on south to Scarborough as we had read, allowing me to get theirs and the abbey's silhouettes in one shot.  Well, they didn't.  They were a lot higher than expected, they got over the town and then turned heading west inland.   My dream of getting them over the abbey was dashed and I left a little disappointed.
