Lost in translation

This is a photo of our Moldovan friend, Igor. He is deliberately headless as I asked for a photo of his tee shirt - which looks meaningful and profound but I suspect it has fallen victim to the warp of translation.
The language barrier continues to be our biggest challenge as most people can speak Russian as well as Romanian and can understand Italian fairly well but have barely a word of English in their repertoire.
Google translate has got us out of several confused/blank-faced situations and just typing "where is the church?" and pressing the translate button to two girls this evening put a merciful end to 5 minutes fruitless charade. Not such an easy question to mime as you might think - just try it!
