The trip

up to Oregon is mostly 9 to 10 hours, but we started early, and so you see the morning sun on the dry hills of Nevada on our way to Susanville in CA. First Starbucks Stop is there. Later we saw this adorable little oldtimer next to us at a fast food place in Yreka,  some Chrysler, that I made look huge just by the perspective. I loved his little suitcase on the back. Than late afternoon we arrived in Florence and had to go to the beach immediately, although it seemed quite cold to us - in Reno it was 94 degrees, in Florence 64 and there was a stiff wind. Maggie was so happy to be on the beach that she started running in circles ( the extra pic).
