Cader Idris
as seen from Idris Villas, Tywyn.
Ruth lodges a bag of uniform with JAVS who retired here many years ago and lives in one of the once grand Victorian Terrace houses in Idris Villas.
Cader is the highest distant peak (see thumbnail image). This panorama shows the Dysinni valley to the left. Once a flooded estuary, sea birds still nest on crags that are now several miles inland. On the right is the Fathew valley, along which the Talyllyn Railway runs. We stay just beyond the foot of the first hillside on the right.
A rest day tomorrow then Ruth & I will be in uniform on Tuesday.
