G is for Glass

The Alphabet Challenge has reached G for Glass this week. Normally I am frantically trying to take something on the last day - Saturday - but this week I have so much subject available I don't know which to choose.
So, as I have no other suitable shot for today, I thought I would try a piece of glass. Using Ingeborg's suggestion of a TV screen for a black background, I took this chalice. It is cut glass, about 10" high, engraved with coats of arms commemorating the wedding in 1981 of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer. 
I will photograph several more pieces during the week and choose one - but I  won't Blip them all!
