La Cabaña in L.A.

Our hosts Pauline and Reuven took us to a lovely breakfast place this Sunday morning--much appreciated after our very late arrival in Los Angeles last night. We met a couple we know from from previous visits--they all are Sunday regulars at the cafe. Here  is a four-year old blip of Reuven and Pauline; Marylee has known them since 1970.  Their daughter Aviva visited us in Paris  in 2012.

After that we took a long walk in nearby Venice, a subdivision which has become the hottest area in all of L.A. in the last few years, according to our friends. One fashionable shop follows another, interspersed with crowded restaurants and other destinations.  Heading back I took this shot from the car of a pub on the periphery, hence less fashionable :)
