Beach frolics and meteors!

Today was a classic! We spent the whole day on the beach today, having the kind of day you'd have on the beach when you were ten. We played beach boules, frisbee, took several swims and also fitted in a bit of reading and lying around in the sun. After this we headed home for a BBQ and a game of cards. Pretty good so far, but then on the radio we heard there was a meteor shower tonight, so we headed back to the beach armed with blankets and spent the next hour watching the display. I think we saw over ten meteors! 

I took a few pics, but also decided to spend most of it just watching. It's always a dilemma trying to take photos with friends, it's hard to be social and concentrate on photography too. Sometimes you have to put the camera away and let yourself just enjoy the moment, especially a real treat like this one. What a day!!
