Let sleeping bees lie

Tried a few shots in the garden this evening and by chance spotted a shot I have wanted to capture for a while. I have seen two bees asleep before but on both occasions, whilst trying to take a photo, there was too much breeze blowing the plant and the bee around to get a sharp image.

This time conditions were better. I am not sure whether they actually sleep, but they appear to, they are motionless and their antennae droop.

Bees seem to lock themselves onto plants with the hooks on their legs or by using their mandibles so that they don't fall off whilst sleeping.

What a life!
