Zorro

I love hydrangeas, especially the lace-cap cultivars and my current favourite is the comparatively new Hydrangea macrophylla 'Zorro', with striking blue flowers and dark purple stems.

It's a vigorous and fresh-looking flower and the blooms stand above the foliage, which is a bonus.

The only other dark-stemmed cultivar that I'm aware of is the mophead 'Nigra', which is pale blue, although my extra picture shows it not quite open and still without much colour.
