Spent a pleasant afternoon losing at shove ha'penny and  having chat with  man who spent many years working down the sewers of London .
 He would have spent much time in sewers created by  Joseph Bazalgette ( born in Clay Hill Enfield ) In the 19th century to rid London of the 'Great Stink  'and improve sanitary conditions - relieving the city of cholera epidemics !
