Fitzroy Square

Just south of the Euston Road, about half way between Great Portland Street and Tottenham Court Road, lies Fitzroy Square. It dates from the late eighteenth century and it really is one of the loveliest squares in London. As with most London squares, it has a large garden in the centre, but unlike many squares, two sides are pedestrianised, so it is much nicer to walk around.

What really sets it apart though, is the quality of the buildings. This range of buildings (on the east side of the square) was designed by the famous architect, Robert Adam in a classical style.
