Recovery...

...of the shadows. This is a view from the Fife coastal path at Earlsferry/Elie and is as close as I can make it compared to the scene as viewed by the naked eye. The RAW file from the camera, at default settings, showed no detail in the shadow area on the sloping ground on the left side of the picture but, as I viewed the scene I could easily see everything from the bright sky as the sun set down to the detail in the waves breaking on the rocks below. Is this shot processed? Sure it is, it's processed to try and present the scene as I saw it.
