Monk's Hood

We have a patch of Monk's Hood (aconitum napellus) in the garden - it is a very pretty color. It gets pretty tall and often flops by the time it is fully open. 

This was another very warm day. When Mr M was watering and feeding the turkeys this evening, he discovered that seven of the eggs that the one hen has been sitting on have hatched.  We now have the seven babies under a lamp and we'll cross our fingers that they will do well.  I'm hoping a neighbor will take them because we do not need seven more turkeys!
