And here's the cake ...

Some of us ladies had a surprise birthday lunch for Elizabeth today! I made her cake, she'd requested a 'checkerboard' cake ages ago, and I remembered, and actually made her one. Inside its all her favourite colours and I tried a design I've been wanting to for ages now. A cake completely covered in sprinkles. It turned out really pretty, but I do need more practice. Everyone loved it so I'm happy.

Been a good day and I'm just pleased that in this day and age, we were actually able to surprise her.
