Late summer sun

Rain forecast for the east so went a few miles further west and had a lovely sunny walk. The heather (ling) is just coming into flower and the butterflies and dragonflies were busy feeding and mating. Blip shows a Dark Green Fritillary and Honey bee on a Scottish Thistle and the extra a male Common Blue on Ling. Also got my favourites, Common Hawker and Black Darter. While looking for these disturbed a roe doe who was trying to get down to the river to drink.
