New Friends

This morning the rain came down in stair rods, the temperature simultaneously plummeted and our building plans were scuppered. However, this opened an opportunity to sit with some of the Baboushkas and 'talk' with them in whatever way possible.
Lydia sat for most of the morning with this lady called Jennea who is very deaf, speaks Romanian, moves about slowly BUT knits at the speed of light! Lydia gave her some wool, watched her knit, and made a bracelet put of loom bands which she put on Jennea's wrist. The next thing was Jennea showing Lydia a body warmer she had knitted, telling her to put it on to keep warm. It fitted her and soon it was a present - given and received with love.
