What a blast!
Today's half day entertainment was a trip to Killerton for another Activity Tuesday. This time we did a bit of cricket, volleyball, football and laser clay pigeon shooting. Leo didn't manage to get any shots on target but enjoyed himself anyway :)
Mum is in the doghouse! After months of lecturing us about taking care in the garden when mowing or playing so we don't mess with the pumpkins, she did some pruning today and managed to chop the biggest pumpkin off! So, that is one pumpkin munched by slugs, and another cruelly cut off in its prime. We have a couple of small grey pumpkins hanging in there - so let's hope they fare better than their mates!
And the second garden disaster of the day happened around tea time. Our neighbour suddenly appeared from around the back of our garage to say he'd had a bit of an accident and had to make his way through our garden and around the garage to escape! He is building a shed down the bottom of his garden, next to the fence between us. Whilst doing the roof, he toppled right over and landed in our garden, breaking his fall on our storage bench which is now a tad splintered and squashed! Thankfully, he is okay just a little battered and bruised and very embarrassed.
