Vapriikki
Had a dental nurse appointment for dental calculus removal. Not fun at all. When I entered the building a young gentleman was crying and yelling loudly in one of the operation rooms. I almost did the same. The nurse said that I've got the worst kind of dental calculus - not that much of it but very nasty. Great.
We had an evening walk in Tampella area just went the sun was setting. It was very peaceful and warm night, very lovely. In the picture is Vapriikki
Vapriikki museum centre is housed in the old Tampella factory hall, whose oldest parts date back to the 1880s. The industrial history of the Tampella area began in the 1840s with a small blast furnace. In 1856, Gustaf August Wasastjerna, the owner of the Seinäjoki iron works, founded a machine shop by the rapids, while Adolf Törngren, Master of Laws, founded a linen mill. Five years later the two merged to form the Tampere Linen and Iron Industry Limited Company (= Tampereen Pellava- ja Rauta-Teollisuus Osake-Yhtiö > Oy Tampella Ab), which had a wide range of production including locomotives, turbines and damask cloths of linen.
