The Hungry Caterpillar

Although I really don't think you get caterpillars that aren't hungry. I think this is the first caterpillar I've seen this year and in recent years I've seen very few. I'm not sure if that is because I don't go looking for them as I did when I was young or there are just fewer around. There certainly seem to be fewer butterflies today than when I was under 10 years of age, but perhaps that is just an impression and not the real position.
