Winter Coats
As I thought last night, we had a ripper of a frost this morning. When I got up at 2.30am to put another log on the fire, the temperature was -4.6 degrees! Now that is cold!
It was pure white outside when I poked my head between the curtains when I got up this morning. I took off outside (in my dressing gown & slippers I might add) to take some early morning shots of the farm covered in frost, and the fog hovering around the hills. They were brilliant photo's, however, I had to choose this one to blip today, as this shows how cold it really was!
Our poor cows were waiting patiently this morning for their breakfast. When they came to the fence, I instantly noticed the frost on some of their winter coats, and ears. Not very often we see that - thank goodness!
If you look here you will see what it was like this morning when we were feeding out. Brrrrrrrr.....
It has started to cloud over this afternoon, and the next two days are forecast to rain, so that will put an end to the frosts for a couple of days.
