Anna- the robot

 
Today I met Anna, the friendly robot. Maybe you already know her, she is there to help you shop at a certain well-known online store.
 
But course Anna is nothing more than an algorithm even though she is smiley, promises to speak to you and appears to be dancing around too.
 
I talk to her, well  type in my question: why can’t I pay? I have done my shopping now all I want to do is pay?
Anna, like a good politician, fails to answer my question but answers something else.
 
I mention all this as yet more evidence that our lives are increasingly being run by algorithms.
