Triptych of Frisbee plus rain!
It has rained a lot. And I mean a lot. We were going to build an ark today. But it has stopped (probably temporarily) So we went for a walk instead. A frisbee walk. It's still very soggy out there!
Here's me showing that my Hoopla Doggy pose was no accident - it really is how I like to wear them.
This is the sequence:
Shot 1: aprecious asks me to give the frisbees back. I won't give them back. aprecious puts on her special persuasive voice and says, "Maud come! Look what lovely stuff I have in my pocket." This makes no impression at all
Shot 2: I run off as fast I can with all the frisbees in my mouth. aprecious is rubbish hopeless not swift enough to get the best photo which was me looking at her so all you get to see is my bottom and a hint of my front end with all three frisbees. So, I run like the clappers and aprecious comes puffing and panting to try and retrieve the frisbees.
Shot 3: Oops! I drop them. Everywhere. aprecious throws them.
The whole sequence starts again!
For the last few days the Rain in Rossendale has been Horizontal. Here is our homage to My Fair Lady!
We were going to record it, but my singing is a bit rubbish and aprecious' isn't much better. So you'll just have to imagine us singing it as a duet! I'm playing Eliza, natch. aprecious as Professor Higgins! As she is fond of saying, "I'll do my best Rex Harrison!"
Rain in Spain *
Maud: The rain in Rossendale stays mainly horizontal!
aprecious: By George, she's got it! She's got it! Now, once again how does it rain?
Maud: Horizontal! Horizontal!
aprecious: And where's that soggy horizontal rain?
Maud: In Rossendale! In Rossendale!
Together: The rain in Rossendale stays mainly horizontal!
The rain in Rossendale stays mainly horizontal!
aprecious:In Hartford, Hereford, and Hampshire...?
Maud: Hurricanes hardly happen.
How kind of you to let me come!
aprecious: Now once again, how does it rain?
Maud: Horizontal! Horizontal!
aprecious: And where's that blasted rain?
Maud: In Rossendale!
Together:The rain in Rossendale stays mainly Horizontal!
The rain in Rossendale stays mainly Horizontal!
*This is exactly what it is like in our house...
Knackered today. Cats' chorus outside at some unspeakable hour, which, understandably, Maud could not resist. On the upside in the quiet of the aftermath, I did read the whole paper cover to cover on my phone so at least I'm au fait with the economic situation in Papua New Guinea :)
