If only it was

I've happened across the home of either a stoat or a weasel today.  To my delight, he just popped his head up right in front of us.  Disappeared and popped up again. And again.

As much as I've searched, the biggest difference seems to be the tail which I didn't get to see.  It looks slightly different to my stoat from last year but maybe I'm just hopeful.  It could even be a youngster.

But, whichever, the little chap made my day - especially after pretending to take a photo of the one yesterday with my blink camera.

UPDATE: Someone on the iSpotNature website thinks it's a weasel because of its wavy brown markings separating the white but they can't be certain.
