The water diviner

I cancelled Mum's plumbing insurance after she died and (typically) now the water company says there's a water leak which is somewhere between the house and pavement stopcock. My brother (who's a very handy chap) came to find the problem and did a lot of digging. It became a mystery as there's no wet soil or obvious leak so he's going to phone them up to see if they've any more info on it. To be continued ........
