Two Day Countdown
Go go go! Today was a bit hectic, but for the main part really exciting! We had an early start to meet Mum at the flower wholesale where we stocked up on some special blooms. We then went on the the supermarket to collect our glass hire, buy more flowers and loads of food for Saturday. We just about managed to get everything in two cars and somehow got back home by lunchtime. We went over to Mum's to cut the wildflowers, then spent ages back at ours making up all the jam-jars of flowers and my bouquet; it was so so lovely. My friend came over to help, and the flat was covered in flowers; it was a beautiful mess. Making my bouquet with Mum is something I'll always cherish; it was wonderful to see it all come together. After a quick tea, we went and picked up the key for the Legion and set to work cleaning the place; it was filthy :( It can't have been cleaned or dusted in years and we spent hours scrubbing, hovering, dusting. Despite it being a cheap hire, it was a rubbish way to spend the evening, and back-breaking work. There was also a mild panic that the table arrangement wouldn't fit all our guests. We'll forever be indebted to my Mum and wonderful friends Laura and Claire for helping us and working so hard. We eventually called it a day at 10pm when we were all ready to collapse. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more fun at the Legion, with lots of work to make it look beautiful!
