An exciting day awaited us today.  We celebrated Samantha's birthday today.  She was so excited and nervous at the same time.  Received so many wonderful gifts.  We made an extra cake for Samantha to take with her to school tomorrow (see extra photo).

Today also was the first day of school for Ashley and Samantha.  1st year of Gymnasium for Ashley and 6th year of Primary for Samantha.  I admit that it was hard for me to let Ashley go.  New school in the middle of the city.  I jokingly asked her if she wants me to come with her, but the look she gave me just told me to stay home.  I was just kidding, of course!
